This South Africa safari photography workshop gives photographers far more than a standard wildlife safari. You experience world‑class photographic hides, small‑group game drives, classroom learning, image reviews, and exclusive use of the lodge—everything designed around photography.
With a maximum of 15 guests and 3 professional photography instructors, we focus entirely on helping you improve. You learn to read light, anticipate wildlife behavior, refine your compositions, and make stronger decisions in the field.
We photograph from purpose‑built hides that bring wildlife to eye level, including overnight hide sessions when conditions allow. We also head out on game drives built for photographers, with space for long lenses, low shooting angles, and the time and patience needed to work a scene properly.
Because we take over the entire game reserve and lodge, we shape the safari rhythm around photography—not a standard lodge schedule. Field sessions, meals, classroom teaching, and image reviews flow together into one focused learning experience.
Join us to experience exceptional wildlife, helpful instruction, comfortable lodging, and professional support every step of the way.
We also have a Zimanga safari available in 2027.
Highlights
- Exclusive use of reserve and lodge – Our group has exclusive use of the entire reserve and lodge, giving us control over the schedule, vehicles, hides, and daily rhythm of the safari. We build each day around light, wildlife behavior, and photographic opportunity.
- Maximum 15 guests, 3 photography instructors – With a strong instructor-to-guest ratio, you receive hands-on help in the field, in the hides, during classroom sessions, and through image reviews.
- World-class photography hides – Photograph wildlife from purpose-built hides designed for low angles, clean backgrounds, and close encounters, including overnight hide sessions when conditions allow.
- Private game drives built for photographers – Game drives are planned around photography, not general sightseeing. We focus on light, behavior, positioning, backgrounds, and giving photographers room to work properly.
- A complete safari learning experience – This workshop combines field instruction, classroom learning, image reviews, lodge comfort, excellent wildlife opportunities, and professional guidance throughout the entire safari.
