Namibia gives landscape photographers an extraordinary amount to work with—towering dunes, ancient trees, abandoned buildings slowly being reclaimed by the desert, granite mountains and some of the darkest night skies in the world. But getting to these places is only part of a successful photography workshop.

Our Namibia Night Sky and Landscape Workshop is intentionally kept to 5 photographers so we can be beside you when the photography matters. At Deadvlei, we’ll help you work with the changing relationship between light, shadow and the shapes of the dunes. At Kolmanskop, we’ll explore how light moves through the abandoned buildings and help you find compositions beyond the familiar photographs. And when darkness arrives at Spitzkoppe and the Quiver Tree Forest, we’ll work through focusing, exposure and composition as we photograph the night sky.

This isn’t a scenic tour where we simply deliver you to famous locations with your camera. It’s a hands-on photography workshop built around light, timing, small groups and instruction in the field.

Our priority is simple: helping you return home with stronger images, greater confidence and a Namibia portfolio you’re proud of.

You can read our past Namibia trip reports to see what it’s like to be with us in Namibia.

Highlights

  • Just 5 Photographers – More room in the field, more one-on-one instruction, and a calmer, more rewarding experience.
  • Namibia’s Most Iconic Landscape Locations – Photograph Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Kolmanskop, Spitzkoppe, and Quiver Tree Forest in one carefully designed itinerary.
  • Timed for Better Light and Darker Skies – This workshop is planned at the optimum time of year, around the conditions that matter most for both landscape and night sky photography.
  • Special Access Where It Matters – Enjoy inside-the-park access near Deadvlei and after-hours access at Kolmanskop for a stronger photographic experience.
  • Hands-On Teaching Throughout the Trip – We provide in-field guidance, help with settings and composition, and support throughout the workshop.
  • Smooth Logistics and Upgraded Lodging – Namibia covers a lot of ground, but the trip itself is designed to feel smooth, organized, and well supported from beginning to end.
