Namibia is one of the most extraordinary places in the world for landscape photographers, but the best images do not come from simply visiting famous locations. They come from being there when the light is right, understanding how to use shape and shadow, and having the time and guidance to photograph each place well.

Our Namibia Night Sky and Landscape Workshop was built for photographers who want more than a scenic trip. This workshop combines the towering dunes of Sossusvlei, the striking trees of Deadvlei, the textures of Kolmanskop, the granite beauty of Spitzkoppe, and the Quiver Tree Forest under some of the darkest skies on earth. We keep the group small so you have more room to work, more direct help, and a better overall experience in the field.

This is a photography workshop designed to help you return home with stronger images and a more complete portfolio. We will help you create more intentional desert landscapes, improve your confidence with long exposures and astrophotography, and make the most of Namibia’s remarkable light, form, and atmosphere.

You can read our past Namibia trip reports to see what it’s like to be with us in Namibia.

Highlights

  • Namibia’s Most Iconic Landscape Locations – Photograph Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Kolmanskop, Spitzkoppe, and Quiver Tree Forest in one carefully designed itinerary.
  • Timed for Better Light and Darker Skies – This workshop is planned at the optimum time of year, around the conditions that matter most for both landscape and night sky photography.
  • Special Access Where It Matters – Enjoy inside-the-park access near Deadvlei and after-hours access at Kolmanskop for a stronger photographic experience.
  • Hands-On Teaching Throughout the Trip – We provide in-field guidance, help with settings and composition, and support throughout the workshop.
  • Smooth Logistics and Upgraded Lodging – Namibia covers a lot of ground, but the trip itself is designed to feel smooth, organized, and well supported from beginning to end.
